The Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) has announced the 2010 winner of the annual scholarship program, which enables one person each year to study an Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) Diploma in Packaging Technology.
The winner, Nataalie Quarrell, packaging and product development officer of Bega Cheese, Strathmerton, Victoria, was announced during the 2010 AIP National Conference dinner by APPMA vice chairman Mark Dingley.
“Natalie Quarrell has worked in the food industry for over fifteen years and has shown that she has a special interest in packaging and packaging technologies,” Dingley said. "She has proven herself time and again to have an excellent understanding of all types of packaging as well as a yearning to learn more about other packaging technology currently used within the food industry. She is passionate about packaging, packaging technology, design and function and we believe this scholarship will further enhance her knowledge so she can continue to contribute to the packaging industry as whole.”
Quarrell is expected to commence her Diploma in Packaging Technology this year.
