Amcor Packaging president to take new position in Australia

Amcor has announced Eric Bloom, current president of Amcor Packaging, is moving to Australia to take up the recently formed position of senior vice president of sales and marketing Australasia.

To report to Nigel Garrard, Bloom has 15 years experience in the packaging distribution business, including the past eight years as president.

According to Amcor, Bloom will help apply his expertise in specialty packaging and services to further develop the Australasia market.

“It comes at a time when we have committed over $700 million to major capital investments in Australasia, including a new paper mill in Sydney, major expansion of our glass business and a new beverage can line in New Zealand,” said Garrard.
