AUSPACK 2009 six days away

Attending AUSPACK 2009 is a must if you are in search of new and innovative packaging solutions. AUSPACK is the largest biennial packaging and processing machinery, materials and associated technology exhibition in the world.

Gravure Packaging, HPS Australasia, Innovia Films, ITW Industrial Packaging, J-Tech Systems, Kiel Industries, Kockums Bulk Systems, the Krones Group and Materials Handling Solution are just some of the companies who will be showcasing new products during AUSPACK 2009.

Gravure Packaging will be exhibiting a wide range of quality Gravure printed flexible packaging solutions on stand 276.

Products include shrink sleeves, in both PET & PVC and intelligent packaging solutions for cold drinks. The company will also be showcasing perforated shrink sleeves, for tamper evident protection, and easy recyclability, wrap-around labels for bottles, including double laminated reverse printed.

Gravure Packaging’s solutions is ideally suited for the FMCG Market including Beverages, Confectionary, Dry Goods, Liquids, Chilled Goods, Cosmetics, Personal Care, Fresh Foods and Frozen Goods.

If you are looking for high quality, brightly coloured, flexible packaging with innovative use of metallic inks, pearlescent and fluoro-inks then stop by stand 276 during AUSPACK 2009.

HPS Australasia designs, manufactures and commissions specialised pipeline product recovery (pigging) systems for liquid process companies.

At AUSPACK 2009, visitors will be able to see the company's Inflatable Seal Ball Valve (ISBV) technology, which is a fully Hygienic Ball Valve that can be washed 100% around the ball and across the seal faces.

HPS will also be displaying other unique valve types and technologies used for pigging applications such as its Patented Food Safe Pigs, which are able to be propelled through standard 90 degree-1.5D pipe bends and our Multi-Source/ Multi-Destination Piggable Solutions. An animated visual display of the Pigging process will be on continuous view during AUSPACK.

Come and see the latest in commercial applications for compostable flexible packaging from Innovia Films on stand 416A, which is a part of the NEW Bioplastics Pavilion at AUSPACK 2009.

Innovia Films stand will feature sustainable packaging used in confectionary, chocolate, bakery, cereals, pasta and fresh produce.

The Innovia Films stand will showcase NatureFlex, which is a wood pulp based flexible packaging film versatile enough to cover a wide range of applications in food, wrapping and industrial areas.

Easily printable and able to run on a variety of packaging equipment NatureFlex ticks all the environmentally friendly boxes — it is made from sustainable wood pulp not oil, is compostable and CarbonZero.

ITW Industrial Packaging is an Australian based manufacturer of strapping products, angleboard protective packaging, and Gale Wrap oriented pre-stretch films.

On stand 218 ITW will proudly display its strapping machines, automatic and Semi automatic (Signode and Akebono Brand).

Also on display will be angleboard protective packing products, and the new overhead portable Gale Wrap Stretch Wrapping machine that uses new coreless machine grade Gale Wrap pre-stretch film.

J-Tech Systems provides the world’s leading technology in produce labelling and packing systems to the Australian horticulture industry.

At AUSPACK 2009, the focus will be on three main product lines: Earthcycle Packaging, Bedford Elasti- Tag and INFIA.

Earthcycle Packaging is biodegradable, non-genetically modified and certified compostable and has the proven ability to protect the integrity of the fruit and vegetables during cross-country shipment.

Bedford Elasti-Tag was designed to meet needs in the produce industry for tagging fresh bunches of green onions, asparagus and broccoli.

INFIA is the largest supplier and manufacturer of PET punnets worldwide, offering a vast choice of punneting options through their wide variety of products.

Kiel Industries is Australia’s leading manufacturer of a wide range of quality plastic pallets and bins. With an exciting new range of bunded pallets, this year Kiel’s will be displaying the latest addition to its range — a 1000 litre bunded pallet to accommodate IBCs.

Made from 100% recycled plastic the bunded pallets offer an economical solution to company’s OH & S requirements for hazardous chemicals etc.

Kiel Industries will also display its latest range of Plastic Pallets — with now over 50 various styles and sizes to suit your every need.

Kockums Bulk Systems will be demonstrating examples from their wide product range during AUSPACK including the Mc Automazione ffs machine and the TMG low level style palletiser.

The Mc Automazione ffs machine is at the smaller end of the FFS scale nominally less than 1kg; 50 — 60 bpm; these machines are basically custom built to meet individual customer needs, manufacturing pillow, square bottom bags with free or sealed edges and DOYPACK.

The TMG low level style palletiser which will also be on show is ideal for bags, bottles, cases, and bales and is the perfect pallet offering an aesthetic stable pallet stack with zero pallet overhang.

The Krones Group, headquartered in Neutraubling, Germany, plans, develops, and manufactures machines and lines for the fields of process technology, bottling, canning and packaging, plus intralogistics.

The principal customer groupings are beverage and food producers, plus the chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

Worldwide, Krones employs more than 10,000 people with 84% of the machines produced go abroad. While Krones focuses predominantly on the medium, and high output segment, its subsidiary Kosme offers machines and complete lines for the smaller companies in the beverage industry.

Materials Handling Solution will be showcasing a broad range of products on stand 378 including Reel Easy roll lifters and rotators that can be suspended from intelligent lifting devices and Lemm lifters and rotators for rolls up to 2500kg.

Also on the stand will be Manibo pneumatic arm manipulators with various end effectors and MovoMech lightweight aluminium crane rail systems.

Stand 378 will also be demonstrating Gorbel, Quick-Lift and MechChain Ergo intelligent balance lifters and variable speed hoists and Plasticband and Safetech stretch wrappers. A unique range of dock safety products will also be showcased at AUSPACK.
