THE Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association and organisers, Exhibition and Trade Fairs (ETF) announced the biennial packaging and processing machinery exhibition AUSPACK, will be changing its name, dates and targeting a much broader market in 2011.

According to event director, Rob Keen, the significant change to the exhibition will be the expanded format to include the processing and plastics sectors of food, beverage and manufacturing industries.

“We felt it was time to expand the exhibition to enable all of the plastics, processing and production areas of the industry the opportunity to showcase their products from 2011 under one roof,” Keen said.

“From 2011 the exhibition will be known as AUSPACK PLUS and by expanding the event to reach the processing and plastics sectors AUSPACK PLUS will become the leading multi-platform exhibition to showcase packaging, processing and plastics machinery, materials and associated technologies in Australasia.”

Other changes include the show being moved to an earlier date and it will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 22-25 March 2011.
