Australian Institute of Packaging’s (AIP) 2008 National Conference is now in session.
About 40 speakers are presenting papers on sustainability at this two-day conference on the food, beverage and packaging.
The AIP has announced that there have been late additions to the program with
- Barry Kelly, Managing Director, Basell Australia presenting a paper on Sustainability: An Australian Polymer Producer’s Perspective,
- Noel Ayre, Managing Director of Tetra Pak speaking about Tetra Pak’s approach to sustainability including their experience with assessing the carbon footprint and
- Mike Searles, Group Sustainability Manager, and
- Aquiles Acevedo Packaging Manager from Goodman Fielder jointly discussing the Goodman Fielder approach to implementing the National Packaging Covenant across their business.
By attending the AIP National Conference delegates can gain an increased awareness of how the packaging industry can re-design, re-use, recycle to reduce the impacts of packaging throughout the entire life cycle of a product.
