THE National Packaging Covenant (NPC) has moved offices, and is bracing for a big year with the current five-year Covenant arrangements due to expire 30 June.

Ministers have approved in principle a new Packaging Covenant; a draft is on the NPC's website.

The National Packaging Covenant is no longer at Level 6, 457 St Kilda Road Melbourne.

The new postal address is: PO Box 19016, Southbank, VIC 3006; the new street address is Level 15, 28 Freshwater Place, Southbank, Melbourne. Contact details have not changed.

In other NPC developments, former Covenant Chair Dick Gross was recently named a Member (AM) of the Order of Australia in the recent Australia Day awards.

The Order of Australia is awarded for service in a particular locality or field of activity or to a particular group.

Former Mayor, Dick was rewarded for his service to the Port Phillip local government, work with the Metropolitan Waste Management Group, efforts towards environmental reform initiatives and service to the National Packaging Covenant.
