Epson's new Traditional Photo Paper designed to offer photographers greater creative control on their prints.

It's created exclusively for use with Epson's UltraChrome ink.

Developed in collaboration with leading professional photographers to meet their most discerning requirements, Epson's newly released Traditional Photo Paper is earning widespread high praise where it counts most - from the professional photographers themselves.

Traditional Photo Paper is a breakthrough paper offering greater creative control through its extraordinary D-Max and tonal transition characteristics in black and white.

The paper also has the ability to print stunning colour on the same paper, something that was not possible with silver gelatine fibre based papers.

Photographers who contributed to the development of Traditional Photo Paper say that what sets it apart from other photo papers are its extraordinary blacks, clean whites and a surface texture that is just like a true black-and-white silver gelatin print.

Multi-award winning photographer Marcus Bell of Studio Impressions Photography in Brisbane, recently judged Australia's leading wedding and portrait studio.

He says Epson's Traditional Photo Paper is ahead of anything else out there and supersedes anything that could be done in the dark room.

"Epsonm's paper delivers such a huge dynamic range, the colour saturation is fantastic and there is an impressive level of detail in the deep blacks," he says.

"It brings a real depth and warmth to the image and brings out more of the emotion that we are trying to communicate in our images."

Bell says since receiving samples of Epson's Traditional Photo Paper to test he has printed all his award submission prints on it because of the outstanding quality of the image.

Previous winner of Australian Wedding Photographer of the Year and three times NSW Wedding Photographer of the Year, David Oliver, says this is the photographic paper that finally got him out of the darkroom.

"It's an astounding fibre based paper reminiscent of those old world fibre papers they stopped making years ago, like Agfa Record Rapid," Oliver says.

"The base for any great photo is a really good white and Epson's Traditional photo paper gives the cleanest, purest, richest whites I have seen."

"So it's just tremendous for both black and white and colour prints."

"I look at my prints and I am amazed at the quality I can now achieve," Oliver says.

"The whites are so white, the blacks so deep and the detail in the shadows is so real, thanks also to the UltraChrome inks."

"This Traditional Photo Paper truly creates prints better than anything I could produce in the dark room, it is just wonderful," he says.
