When UK based Cranswick Country Foods won a new order to supply a range of premium quality ready meals to one of the UK's leading food retailers, they turned for the first time to leading UK tray sealing manufacturer Packaging Automation (UK) Ltd.
Packaging Automation equipment is distributed by MPI in Australia.
And they say their first experience has been so positive that they will not hesitate to go back to Packaging Automation when the need for new equipment arises.
Cranswick initially hired then purchased a PA2016 automatic rotary tray sealer following extensive discussions with Packaging Automation, a company which has been at the forefront of tray sealing in the UK for 45 years.
Retail factory manager for Cranswick Jonathan Healy says the company's existing production line was totally efficient for the products it was packaging but for the new job we required something a little bit different - and quality pack presentation was essential.
"So we spoke to PA to see what they could offer.," Healy says.
" I could not be happier with their approach, and the support and level of service we have received."
"Initially the order was for three ready meal lines - but at the last minute the retailer added a new line which needed high oxygen MAP."

Healy says he was also impressed by PA's willingness to hire out the machine initially so he could be sure it was right for the job - something he says other companies are not always willing to do.
He also believes PA's policy of inviting customers to use its free-of-charge trial and test facilities at its premises in Cheshire is another key selling point which sets them apart from the competition, and something he will be taking advantage of in the near future.
"Like all Packaging Automation equipment, the PA2016 is a robustly built machine which offers quick and easy tool changes and a consistent seal," he says.
"It can be used for sealing reel fed film, pre-cut foil, paper or laminate lids to preformed trays and containers and can be supplied with both atmospheric and MAP packaging options."
