Green sheets reduce packaging waste

Environmentally friendly packaging solutions are helping to save the planet while saving manufacturers money.

Grip Sheet, a non-slip protective insert paper sheet used to reduce breakage and protect products distributed on pallets, is made from recycled kraft paper and is fully recyclable.

According to Richard Barron, of Grip Sheet Australia, the product also reduces the amount of other packaging materials required to stabilise a load, thereby reducing wastage and saving both time and money.

Also, Grip Sheets can be reused for up to four pallet trips where practical.

"Grip Sheets has been designed with automation and economy in mind and were effective no matter what the load," Barron says.

See a demonstration of how Grip Sheets work at stand 3132 at Foodpro 2008, which runs from Monday July 21 to Thursday July 24, 2008, at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
