Krones’ blow-moulder/filler BLOC

Krones AG, a global supplier of beverage filling and packaging technology, saw demand for its blow-moulder/filler BLOC solutions rise by over 40% in the first half of 2007.

Customising stretch blow-moulder/filler BLOCs to suit its clients’ particular needs, the company's machinery output ranges from 8000 containers/hour to 72,000 containers/hour in the high-speed category.

Depending on the output involved, transport belts or transfer starwheels are used to pass the blow-moulded, non-returnable PET bottles directly from the Krones Contiform stretch blow-moulding machine to the filler.

Long conveyor routes are eliminated resulting in energy savings for the transport media and minimised opportunities for possible contamination and soiling of the containers.

Krones BLOCs can be used for any product filled in neck-handled containers including beer, milk, still or carbonated products, and teas or juices.

For sensitive beverages, Krones offers production reliability with its aseptic and clean room technologies.
