Linerless tray labelling system

Linerless labelling system for trays Le Mac has launched a new decoration system, the Le Mac Tray Sleeving system, with linerless adhesive-backed labels and compact labelling machines to apply them.

The Le Mac Australia Group is recognised as a shrink sleeve and container decoration specialist.

Le Mac has launched its Tray Sleeving system, linerless, adhesive-backed labels and compact machines to apply them.

The linerless labelling system is licensed from the UK where over 350 systems have been installed and over one billion linerless sleeves are being used annually.

The primary target market is the chilled food sector, such as case-ready meats and seafood, pre-packed salads and ready meals in trays and bowls.

There are three high-speed labelling machines available.

The Tray Sleever is an in-line machine which eliminates the need to turn the packs and enables sleeves to be applied in five formats: top, top and side, top and two sides, C-wrap and full wrap.

An onboard Markem coder prints either fixed data at 120ppm or variable data at up to 85ppm.

The innovative linerless label structure eliminates the need for wasteful, non-recyclable siliconised liners, and the absence of this backing material means that reel changes are quicker and easier.

UK customers include the top retailers Tesco, Waitrose and Sainsbury, and major packers including Hilton Meats and ScotTrout.
