A NEW round of National Packaging Covenant funding has been announced for projects that divert used packaging from landfill.

According to the National Packaging Covenant, priority will be given to projects that focus on new collection infrastructure and services such as diverting more than 5,000 tonnes of waste per year.

The National Packaging Covenant has also said project should also aim for little reduction and have a strong community engagement, research, education and partnership focus

Project funding is available to all signatories and applications close on Friday 9 April.
