The Victorian Division of the Packaging Council of Australia will host a dinner meeting on sustainable packaging in Australia on Feb 21, 2008 at Melbourne Functions, Caulfield Racecourse.
The theme of the meeting will be ‘Packaging Change & Innovation - Sustainable Packaging in Australia’.
The second edition of the PCA Booklet ‘Australian Packaging - Real Examples of Change & Innovation’ documented many examples of packaging design created with the environment in mind.
There are many stories to be told from the examples in the Booklet and this dinner meeting provides the opportunity to hear from some of the companies taking that next step forward.
Topics covered will be:
• Packaging development - environmental considerations, how important are they?
• How the Covenant has affected their business? Has it helped with innovation and supply chain issues?
• Case Study on the product that is featured in the Booklet (click link below for photos)
Guest speakers featured will include:
• Matthew Anelli
Senior Group Leader - R&D Packaging/Specification Management, Kraft Foods Australia
• Wes Bray
National Agri Business Market Manager, Amcor Fibre Packaging
• Peter Anstice
Manager, Perseco Australia (representing McDonald's)
In addition to the above, both Matthew Anelli and Peter Anstice will discuss what their company looks for in a packaging supplier and the factors that make for a successful relationship.
