tna will debut the tna intelli-flav® 2 flavouring system at, PPMA Exhibition, 29 September — 1 October at NEC, Birmingham, UK, Booth F 71 along side the new tna roflo® 3 with “switcheroo” and “erector” technology for the snack food industry.

The new tna robag® 3 fx 180 rotary triple jaw with delta 314 scale will also be on display.

tna’s intelli-flav® 2 breaks new ground with smart software flavouring technology. Patented software measures flavour levels and application times to monitor and self-regulate the feed-rates.

By proportionally distributing product to the feeder/flavouring system and controlling the load balance, the flavour drum maintains maximum flavouring runtime and avoids under or over-flavouring.

The tna intelli-flav® 2 flavouring system combines consistent application with delicate handling for even flavour distribution, with minimal flavour loss and less product damage.

When the product flow rate changes, a corresponding change in the flavour rate ensures the correct ratio of flavour to product is delivered. The need to use the last system for overflow is eliminated, as product can be perfectly and proportionally distributed.

Settings are retained as a recipe on a touchpad for simple turnkey operation. A no-clog, lightweight drum and gateless conveying pans require no tools, making changeovers and cleanings even quicker.

The tna intelli-flav® 2 flavouring system can integrate into virtually any distribution and packaging system.

When used in combination with the the tna roflo® 3 transfer and distribution system and tna robag® 3 Vertical Form Fill and Seal (VFFS) packaging equipment, the flavouring system saves floor space and eliminates product damage at all points of distribution and packaging.

The tna roflo® 3 is the world’s first totally reversible, gateless transfer and distribution system. Production systems with multiple products that would normally require a series of dedicated lines, can now be serviced by one tna roflo® 3 system.

Using servo-driven, linear motion and modular components that can reduce capital outlay by up to 40 percent, tna’s bi-directional feed, coined “switcheroo” technology, allows the stainless steel pans to tilt or raise up and down accommodating one line or several lines in various configurations.

The “erector” technology lifts a selected pan module separating lines and completely eliminating the possibility of cross contamination of product between the pans on multi-product lines.

tna roflo® 3’s efficient and sustainable design is also underpinned by an absolute minimal use of moving parts. tna even removed the traditional discharge gates, which drives maintenance costs even lower and makes it remarkably easy to clean.

The robag® 3 rotary triple jaw is a vertical form/fill/seal (VFFS) packaging system especially suited for gummy candies and other confectionery products.

It’s capable of packing up to 220 bags per minute, boasting efficiencies greater than 95 percent and a reject rate of less than 0.5 percent.

A leading supplier of turn-key, integrated packaging and processing solutions for food production companies worldwide, tna offers a full range of robag® (VFFS) machines for virtually any bagging applications including:

  • chips,
  • dried fruits,
  • nuts,
  • baked snacks,
  • fresh produce,
  • frozen veggies and
  • seafood.

Known for high speed VFFS packaging and reliability, the tna robag® 3 is an economical, low maintenance, low service machine that generates less than one percent material waste.

Designed using fewer moving parts, the tna robag® 3 is built to last allowing higher reliability and longer machine life.
