Visy is championing environmentally-friendly exhibitions by providing fully recyclable stands, significantly reducing the extensive waste usually created by exhibitors.
In sponsoring last week’s Design:Made:Trade exhibition, Visy provided stands for all exhibitors, produced using recycled and Tumut Kraft corrugated board.
Unlike traditional stands which often go straight to landfill following exhibitions, the Visy stands are fully recyclable.
Organiser Sue Dight from Australian Exhibitions & Conferences says it is increasingly important for exhibitions to demonstrate a commitment to sustainable events.
“The exhibition industry is moving towards a far greater environmental awareness,“ Ms Dight says. “Most exhibitions venues now have strict green guidelines and exhibition organisers are increasingly working with the venues to ensure exhibitions are environmentally friendly.
“For Design:Made:Trade, we are certainly very conscious of our environmental footprint," Dight says. "Sustainability is a common thread amongst our exhibitors and it’s therefore very fitting to show their products on Visy’s recyclable stands.
“It's also important that the look and feel of the stands exhibits the products in the best possible light, and it's great that Visy can achieve this with an environmentally-friendly product.”
Design:Made:Trade showcases Australia's small manufacturers, product designers, and design makers to an audience of manufacturers, retail and export buyers and the public.
Visy’s panels have a fire-retardant coating to ensure exhibition stands meeting OH&S standards. The stands are lightweight and allow stand holders the freedom to apply artwork and branding to the exhibition walls, which isn’t viable with alternate offerings.
The panels are delivered flat-packed, so are easy to transport and erect. They are available in white or brown board and can be customised with printing of logos, images and other branding.
