As the largest biennial packaging and processing machinery, materials and associated technology exhibition for Australasia, AUSPACK 2009 will be showcasing a range of Australian manufactured and designed products during the four day event.

Australian designed Seal & Shrink machine to be launched Diego Barbaro from PackSynergy will be showcasing a new Australian manufactured and designed Seal & Shrink machine called the ZINZINA.

The ZINZINA machine has the capability to shrink the new generation of polyolefin films, minimise the amount of film required, maximise air flow around the pack and reduce shrink time and energy by up to 40%.

According to Mr Barbaro the ZINZINA is the most advanced seal & shrink machine designed and manufactured in Australia and will offer minimal capital outlay, improved production results and minimise floor space.

“The ZINZINA includes a new generation of PLC Control and Touchscreen operator interface with Ethernet gateway and Fieldbus module for remote control and programming,” he says.

“When I designed the machine I felt it was also necessary to not only convey the finished product but also to position it in the centre of the shrinking chamber.”

“The machine is designed to open mechanically and close by its own gravity eliminating any possible danger to the operator, to the product or the equipment. The design also allows the machine to be positioned against a wall to minimise floor space,” he says.

Multi pack cycles, sealing bar opening position, automatic sealing time compensation, stand-by time, self diagnostic mode and password settings are just some of the standard features on the ZINZINA which has been developed with top performance and reliability in mind.

Viscount Plastics to showcase the Nallyenviropal Viscount Plastics will be showcasing the innovative Nallyenviropal at AUSPACK 2009.

Ticking all of the sustainability and recyclability boxes, the Nallyenviropal is the only 100% Post Consumer Waste Plastic Pallet available in Australia.

All the Post Consumer Waste is Australian, 70% is Post Consumer HDPE — that is used in milk bottles, 30% is Post Consumer LLDPE — that is used in stretch wrap.

Sized to fit the Australian Supply Chain system requirements, the Nallyenviropal is used for supply chain transportation and warehousing across every industry packaging segment and is even suitable for rental pool applications such as CHEP and LOSCOM.

The plastic pallet is lower in weight than a timber pallet which means businesses can enjoy a reduction in OH&S risks and reduced fuel consumption.

Early indication is that the service life of the Nallyenviropal is in the range of 3 to 7 years. Timber pallets are normally damaged after 3 trips; guaranteeing that the Nallyenviropal will outperform timber in terms of service life.

On average 1700 tonnes of Post Consumer Waste Plastic are eliminated out of landfill due to the manufacture and sale of the Nallyenviropal.

The plastic pallet is 100% recyclable at the end of its life — when recycled it can again become a new Nallyenviropal. Designed and manufactured in Australia, this product ensures Australian manufacturing innovation and viability.

AUSPACK will be held from Tuesday the 16th through to Friday the 19th of June 2009, at the Sydney Showgrounds, Sydney Olympic Park.

AUSPACK is owned and presented by the Australian Packaging Machinery Association, Australia’s only national packaging and processing machinery organisation.
