The Bizerba GLM-I series sets new standards in price tagging and combines the maximum performance in continuous industrial operation with improved properties in operation, service friendliness and hygiene.

Users include meat-processing companies, with multi-shift operations where high tonnages of fresh meat are portioned out and packaged every day.

Decorative and price labels must be positioned on different sides of the packaging on the surface of every single pack as quickly as possible.

And this has to be done very accurately, each in a predefined place. A demand, for which the Bizerba GLM-I is predestined.

Thanks to the modular system construction, up to 6 different rotating stamp and bubble labellers can be incorporated together.

The labelling is always possible from above and below. The maximum printing width is 168 millimetres; the print resolution up to 12 points per millimetre. The high print speed of the GLM-I makes it possible to label up to 150 packages a minute.

All equipment of the labelling line can be controlled through the GT-12C terminal using touchscreen. This is clearly structured and user-friendly.

Even untrained staff can work with it without mistakes and without long familiarisation periods. Homogeneous integration into existing production environments and networks as well as the connection of periphery equipment is possible without any problems.

In addition, the industrial PC NT provides transparency in process control. It runs using Windows XP and receives and manages the orders coming through the EDP medium using Bizerba order processing software.

This means the system can quickly be set to any order and be prepared for the next one even before the completion of the first.

The GLM-I can be operated in e-service using Internet Explorer. Maintenance can take place without repair personnel being on-site.

With the email function of the Bizerba labelling equipment, status and error reports can be automatically sent to the relevant system supervisor or the Bizerba service point. The response time for maintenance and service tasks is reduced to a minimum with this function.

Depending on the performance requirement, the GLM-I is available in different capacities of GLM-I 70, GLM-I 100 and GLM-I 150. The GLM-I series also scores on hygiene:

The system enables rapid maintenance, cleaning and adjustment of printer and tape units without needing to use tools.

For weight-variable price and goods labelling in smaller industrial companies as well as in trade, Bizerba presented the GLM-E as the successor to the GV series for the first time at Interpack 2008.

The compact fully-automatic system with high-quality aluminium frame will also find a use in smaller companies. It is available in the versions GLM-E 40 (for up to 50 packages per minute, including internal operating terminal) and GLM-E 50/70 (for 50 or 70 packages per minute, including external operating terminal).

The GLM-E 40 includes a top-level labeller with bubble applicator as well as an integrated ¼ VGA operating unit.

It can be used as an independent piece of equipment with manual delivery but can also be integrated into existing automatic production lines for fully-automated price labelling.

The GLM-E offers space for label rolls up to a max. 300 mm.
