Borealis has launched two generation BorPure materials for food container manufacturers.
The BorPure RG466MO and RJ377MO are transparent polypropylene (PP) random copolymers targeted primarily at the market segments of kitchenware and thin wall packaging.
BorPure RG466MO offers low warpage, anti-static behaviour and ease of moulding for complex shapes, making it ideal for food storage containers.
The BorPure RJ377MO allows manufacturers to create thin wall containers and lids that can be stacked inside and on top of one another without cracking. Typical applications benefitting from such performance include packaging for salads, sauces, dairy and convenience meals and transparent packaging caps and closures.
According to Borealis, the crystallisation speeds of both materials provide the ease of moulding and demoulding, allowing for fast production and short cycles.
