Carrot Screening Machines

  • Published: 24/06/2008

Enmin Vibratory Equipment has added a range of Carrot Screening Machines to their extensive repertoire of equipment for the Food Processing Industries.

These machines are designed to accommodate not only carrots but other similar vegetables that need sorting of undersized or broken pieces.

Presentation of product is of paramount importance and since carrots can be damaged during harvesting or washing the need to screen out these reject pieces or sort them by length is a pre-requisite in the industry.

The Enmin Carrot Screening Machines will handle up to 12 TPH of product.

A special alignment section ensures the carrots are directed into individual tracks by the oscillating motion of the unit.

From there they are conveyed to the reject stations which involve a series of adjustable gates.

Small items are rejected immediately leaving the remaining product to be selected by length into their desired sizes.

From here the sized products are conveyed to further processing.

Construction of the Enmin Carrot Screening machines can be in stainless steel or mild steel painted and galvanized.

The design offers ease of maintenance and in accordance with the requirements of HACCP.

Enmin’s web site gives an excellent overview of the range of Electromagnetic and Electromechanical Vibratory Equipment as standard machines and custom designs they have available.
