Enmin Vibratory Equipment was recently engaged to assist with the design and production of a materials handling system for dishwasher tablets.
The product processing system needed to be compatible with innovative electronic screening equipment which is the heart of the process.
Bulk product is blended and fed to the multi tablet press where it is wrapped and sealed. From here the tablets are delivered to a specifically designed Enmin Feed Conveyor with a programmable drive which gently discharges them into the Enmin Hopper Feeder.
This unit serves a dual purpose.
One, it acts as an accumulation point for product should the upstream process stop or be delayed, and two, it accurately meters the tablets into the boot of a 70 degree Elevating Conveyor.
The steepness of the Enmin Elevating Conveyor was necessary to accommodate the limited foot print of the layout.
Having the ability to accurately meter the tablets into the special cleated belt ensures the product is conveyed without spillage.
The open design of the Enmin Elevating Conveyor reduces maintenance to a minimum.
The tablets are next presented to the Enmin Progressive Vibratory Feeding System where they are aligned and channeled to the Electronic Screening Equipment.
Enmin has extensive experience in the design of feeding and aligning a wide variety of products to marry with checking, counting, measuring and rejecting systems.
Accepted tablets are then, via a counting system, fed into their presentation boxes. Operators accept the boxed tablets from the Enmin Out Feed Conveyor and in turn to a dual carton packaging station which is linked to an automatic palletizing facility to complete the process.
The overall system has now been in operation for over eighteen months processing many many thousands of tablets.
