The new registered design machine consists of a fully adjustable pneumatic drive platform, or ‘power-base’, which can be configured as a 5-litre single cylinder filling machine, a twin cylinder 2 litre filling machine or a triple cylinder, 1-litre filling machine with the simple addition of change parts.
“We’ve basically done away with the need for clients to have multiple equipment models for a wide range of products, fill sizes and containers,” says Higgins of his new machines.
“The machine can be transformed from one format to another in a matter of minutes.”
Each format is accurate to within 0.05% of its total volume, and the machine can be set up as a semi-automatic bench model, or fully automated on a conveyor.
The standard machine is equipped with bottom-up fill and positive shut off nozzles, and is designed, built and assembled in Australia by Gary Higgins Packaging.

“There are so many advantages,” Higgins adds. “Apart from the obvious cost advantage of combining three machines in one, it’s really an amazing piece of practical design and engineering.”
