For more than 40 years the Simec Group has been one of the most representative companies in the rolls, anilox sleeves and accessories supply sector for the flexo industry.
The Simec Group has officially launched its new revolutionary sleeve handling and storage system: Revolver. This new solution perfectly fits in the so called “Simec Concept”, which was first presented during Converflex 2009.
Revolver allows sleeves to be easily transferred from the printing press to the cleaning equipment and afterwards to the warehouse, through proper devices aimed at avoiding any possible damage and guaranteeing the greatest care.
Most of the damages occurring to anilox sleeves are typically the consequence of these operations. Consequently, Revolver represents the ideal solution to ensure a correct sleeve handling and a reduction in sleeves reconstruction costs.
This also leads to a more efficient storage organisation of the printing equipments and to an improved production quality, without having to invest in expensive and bulky stocking systems.
Revolver is available both for end users (printers and converters) and for wide web flexo printing machine manufacturers, to whom Simec offers the customization of the system with the customer’s logo and colours.
Thanks to this new solution, manufacturers can complete their range with a useful system which can increase the overall efficiency of the production configuration without extra costs.
Revolver is provided with safety rings, to fit into each sleeve end when sleeves are removed from the printing machine, perfectly suited to the cleaning machine mandrels. In this way, the system allows an easy management of sleeves storage by moving them with the highest regard from the printing unit to the cleaning equipment and afterwards to the warehouse.
Besides ensuring a smooth extraction of the sleeves from the printing press, Revolver helps keeping sleeves clean and protected for long, thus increasing the overall production quality level and ensuring the consistency of the printing results.
The system is available in 3 different sizes, each suited for different sleeve heights for machines from 800 to 1700 width. The different Revolver versions can work with a minimum of 6 anilox sleeves or cliché-holders to a maximum of 10.
“With the launch of the Revolver system,” says Emilio Della Torre, General Manager of Simec. “We aim to reach two objectives: first of all, we want to provide printers and machine manufacturers with a concrete solution to make their stock safer and more efficient.
"In addition our intention is to add one more piece in the Simec Concept, i.e. our idea to supply a whole range of products, accessories and services all developed to allow our customers get the best from Simec sleeves and rolls.”
