For more than 40 years, the Simec Group has been one of the most representative companies in the rolls, anilox sleeves and accessories supply sector for the flexo industry.
The company has launched its revolutionary sleeve handling and storage system: Revolver. This new solution perfectly fits in the so called “Simec Concept”, which was first presented during Converflex 2009.
Revolver allows sleeves to be easily transferred from the printing press to the cleaning equipment and afterwards to the warehouse, through proper devices aimed at avoiding any damage and guaranteeing the greatest care.
Most of the damage occurring to anilox sleeves typically occur during these operations. Consequently, Revolver represents the ideal solution to ensure correct sleeve handling and a reduction in sleeve reconstruction costs.
This also leads to a more efficient storage organisation of the printing equipment and to an improved production quality, without having to invest in expensive and bulky stocking systems.
Revolver is available both for end users (printers and converters) and for wide web flexo printing machine manufacturers, to whom Simec offers the customisation of the system with the customer’s logo and colours.
Thanks to this new solution, manufacturers can complete their range with a useful system which can increase the overall efficiency of the production configuration without extra costs.
Revolver is provided with safety rings, to fit into each sleeve end when sleeves are removed from the printing machine, perfectly suited to the cleaning machine mandrels.
Besides ensuring a smooth extraction of the sleeves from the printing press, Revolver also helps to keep sleeves clean and protected, thus increasing the overall production quality level and ensuring the consistency of the printing results.
The system is available in 3 different sizes, each suited for different sleeve heights for machines from 800 to 1700 width.
The different Revolver versions can work with a minimum of six anilox sleeves or cliché-holders to a maximum of ten.
“With the launch of the Revolver system we aim to reach two objectives,” says Emilio Della Torre, General Manager of Simec.
“First, we want to provide printers and machine manufacturers with a concrete solution to make their stock safer and more efficient.
"Moreover, our intention is to add one more piece to the Simec Concept. Our idea is to supply a whole range of products, accessories and services all developed to allow our customers get the best from Simec sleeves and rolls.”
Simec Group is a private company, still managed by its founder who has been supported for years by the second generation, operating in the flexo & embossing sector since 1960. Today Simec is one of the most representative companies in the international market.
